While at Anime Boston over the weekend, I took the liberty to photograph some friends and strangers.

I personally knew the Link and Elena cosplayer.

EDIT!: Check out the Shinra logo I added to the buidling in the full-size Elaina shot!

I met the Mirror's Edge Faith cosplayer there and offered to photograph her. Those shots were a lot of fun to get. [Yes, she really did climb out onto a ledge that was like 2 stories above the ground. I guess it was worth the shot!]

The steampunks were also all part of a mass gathering in the Prudential Courtyard. I kinda run in and became their official, unofficial photographer. I call that gathering a "clockwork of steampunks."

A most fantastic collage of the event and some really great photos throughout! Although, my personal favorite is you running with the "Boing" caption - definitely a classic! Hahaha! Looks like you had quite a bit of fun for the win! Thanks for sharing! :D

Haha, the compositions in your photos look so much like the compositions in your illustrated works, I love it. Nice lighting as well! Usually con pics bore me to tears but I liked looking at all of these.

Canon EOS 40D with:
EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
EF 50mm f/1.8 II
EF 80mm f/1.8
EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5

In the images above, each of the lenses are used. The super wide / perspective distorted images are the 10-22, while the sharpest, best looking pictures are my lovely 80mm.

Because most people just take crappy photos in the hallways of the convention center!
I can't do that. If I want to take someones photo, I take them to a spot that will make them look good, AND I try to capture them in the best way possible.

I think my art classes caused me to be anal like this hahaha.
