Sorry for another picture of Maia, but this one is important hahaha. A lot of you will remember the last pair of drawings of Maia I submitted back in June -- that was just a style test to play around with visual presentation for the comic.
As it comes closer and closer to start drawing SYNTHESIS, [I'm still writing the script and planning the plot and everything as of this moment, -- proper planning counts towards a successful execution --] I'm trying to find the final appearances of the characters and how the will be drawn in the comic.
This is Maia in her standard casual outfit, as many of you recognize by now. XD There are additional drawings of her in this stance in OTHER outfits, such as an outer-wear semi-formal type of dress, and you may see that as well soon.
Before then, I need to do a similar sheet like this for the other main characters of the comic, including Jace and Jenna, and simpler ones for supporting roles.
D: SYNTHESIS WILL START SOON. My goal is to begin official page production by no later than October.
Edit: Also, some of you may be confused as to the OTHER times I *started* synthesis with those few pages I did earlier this year, and in late 2008. Remember, the 5 pages from 2008 were a thesis project that I did for school -- that was never meant to actually continue as a story. The three pages I did earlier this year were an accident. I jumped the gun on starting the story. I didn't even have most of the plot finalized by then -- I was just planning on winging the whole thing. BAD IDEA. There's a reason I stopped after the third page -- I realized "what the hell am I doing??" Stop, think it out, then continue. This is why I'm planning on picking it up again in October -- yes, with a completely new beginning. Those three pages are now scrapped as just nothing more than practice.
Edit2: One more thing. Just checking -- you guys know that Project is Maia's last name, right? XD
beautiful and solid. very pretty girl. I love how she looks certainly stylized, but still has a casual feel to her. Like if you did not over-emphasize trying to make her look pretty, and just let her be herself.

Oh! I like this redesign! She definitely looks curious, and has a dose of quirkiness! This is good!
I certainly can't exactly call her "cute" or "pretty", yet she is incredibly appealing. I think you hit the mark here, what with everyone else saying that she looks "real". I get that vibe, too, and it's niiiiiice.
Also, right now, my hair kinda looks like hers! Eee! :3
