Some people have told me that Maia, [the main character in my graphic novel project SYNTHESIS,] resembles Rei Ayanami from Evangelion quite a bit.
So just to poke fun at the subject, I drew Maia dressed up in Rei's Eva plug suit. She doesn't look thrilled about the sudden role change, to say the least. [So in the end, Maia doesn't flat-out resemble Rei. I mean Maia's hair is full on CYAN! And she actually has, you know, expressions hahah.] Not that the resemblance has never crossed my mind, but I know Maia far too well to think they'd even be compatible talking to each other.
This was fun. It's the first picture I've CG'd in a long long time that is not only cell-shaded, but also done with SCANNED pencil line art. What can I say? My cintiq has been spoiling me lately. The scan came out better looking than I thought.

+25 spacebucks to whoever can tell me what activity I referenced this pose from.
pose is from highjumping, I think. Yeah Maia doesn't resemble Rei in the least, firstly, yes she has expressions, her hair + eyes and skin colours / tones are not the same, and her build is not like Rei's.
