I thought the arm tat was the Mirror's Edge influence.

Oh yeah, that too :)
The particular pattern on her arm, borrowed from Faith, is a placeholder until I come up with something else. I'm still tinkering around with those parts of Maia still.

this is so amazing. it really gives the mood of "just exiting the train on a sunny day" I almost feel like I AM there. the door and how the sunlight flows in is absolutely stunning. I love how its so photgraphic- no one's posing, no one's looking this way,..just minding their own business, and looking beautiful :] You're my inspiration. lovelovelove!

wooo go matt, finally finished. Loved watching the progression of this from initial line, to painted concepts to here.

Man, your skills sure are something to talk about. The expressions and poses are so human and natural. I also find it quite amazing that you manage to keep lots of lines quite straight. How do you do that? I don't think you go tracing around with the line tool, or you actually do?

About the colors, I like the strong intensity you added to them! You say your influence was Mirror's Edge, but they sure resemble a lot Speed Racer (from the Watchowski Brothers) as well.

Something really cool you added here too are the marking on the floor and surfaces. This adds a lot of realism to the scene and also gives the sensation of old and used. Did you used any reference for the scene?

Great piece of art.

Have you accepted Chuck Norris as your Lord and Saviour today?

Awesome \m/

This makes me even more curious about the characters and setting. Though I will say, the marks on her arm kind of remind me of Tetris pieces, revealing my ignorance Mirror's Edge aside from catching a glimpse of the box at Gamestop once, though I am now curious. What are the original tattoos?

Out of yet more curiosity, did you manage to take a picture in the T for reference, or was it from life/imagination?

(I have your ipod by the way. My parents got me a new mp3 for Christmas so I just need to bump into you at some point)

You finished! It's amazing how much one can pick up from riding one mode of transportation every day :)

I love the color. that's a runners bag on the suitcase? It looks kind of like an art/messenger bag with only one strap... :?
