Syn-Thesis was a project completed for my senior year at AIB. My goal was to create five highly finished comic pages based on the very early development of Synthesis. The pages have no bearing on the final Synthesis story.
I dont know if you'll ever get this but I just wanted to ask you how did you get your start on backgrounds? Yours are amazing and very nicely planned out. I still need alot of practice with buildings and backgrounds but have no clue where to start.
I love your architecture! It feels compact and comfortable and just awesome, I've always wanted to draw that sort of thing for my story's settings, but I'm still new to bg stuff... Great stuff, though!
Hey I love this comic! Fantastic work! If you're interested in my opinion...I find this page confusing it's not clear where she is, at first I thought she was at a pay phone, then in the last panel it looks like she is in a factory. That's just how I see it, maybe I'm the only one. The other pages look really strong! Keep up the great work!
for some reason I've the impression the black text boxes are a bit aside the rest of the design, maybe because of the font but I'm not sure. black panels like those can have a great graphic impact and your other panels are perfectly balanced so I tend to think it's because of the font. about the story it looks like this world must be a kind of Japan
this sounds like a good architectural mix and honestly from what I've seen it is good indeed. I thought about Japan more for the conformism there seems to be here, though. Japanese people mostly have black hair and if often happens that the ones who don't have natural black hair for this or thus reason, are asked to dye their hair to look more like true Japanese...
