[but we're on our way to section 6...] Man: "Oh god, it's the section five greeter. Quick, just ignore him." Section 5 Greeter: "Welllcome to sectionnn fiiiive~!" Other man: "... I want a balloon!"
Here, the section five greeter floats around and offers balloons to those who pass by. He doesn't do it because he has to, he just feels like he should be doing something more constructive with the balloons his species generates.
Light-hearted Adults and children alike can be seen walking around the inner city structures holding the balloons, marking quite clearly that they had stopped by to see the section five greeter.
----------------------------------------------------------- A for-fun speed painting that originated from an absurd idea with a friend. I spent a little longer on this one, about 4 to 5 hours total work time. It's strange when you work on speed paintings, you never fully know when they're "done." You just kind of have to work yourself to a satisfied level of finish.
I really like this, especially because you created a little story to go along with it.

Well, thing is, this isn't really an effect. This is just how I always draw except MUCH faster and without going back and fixing so many of the errors. It's a simple matter of being sketchy and breaking down a scene into a series of shapes of color, then adding details to those shapes or not.
The sense of light in these speed paintings mostly come from painting with a low opacity brush and making those light blooms around light sources. It's just an effect I enjoy doing that adds a level of polish.
wow I love it. The picture and the idea behind it leave me wanting to hear/read/watch and generally lose myself in the story and the world behind it. I really hope we see more of these quirky little features.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

The hard part is getting it turned back on, though.
